The IMG2PRO is a cooled CCD camera which uses SONY’s high sensitivity Exview CCD sensor ICX285AL. This sensor is popular because it has very low dark current resulting in clean images during long exposures. The camera has a two stage TEC and set point cooling to -45C below ambient. Thermal performance is much better than similar cameras such as the Atik 314L+. The desiccant system is user rechargeable for easy maintenance.
GSO and Clones to C Mount Adapter for Right Angled Finders connects QHY5-II, QHY5L-II, Lodestar, Orion SSAIO, Mintron, Watec & DMK cameras to GSO & Clones 8 x 50 & 9 x 50 right angled finders. Other true C and CS mount guide cameras will also be compatible and Clones include Teleskop Service, Altair Astro and Revelation finders.
The Astronomik OIII Visual Filter is mainly for observing planetary nebulae, it’s unsuitable for use with CCD cameras except in combination with an additional IR block filter.

Astronomik UHC-E Filter – This filter was designed for the visual observation of emission and planetary nebulae with (mainly) smaller scopes, but also works well for imaging these objects if used with an IR block. The IR block can be inbuilt, as with a DSLR, or in combination. The Astronomik L3 type luminance filter gives particularly good results and colour balance. Price includes delivery.

Filters for Astro-Video cameras are hard to recommend due to the relatively short exposures involved. After many tests this gentle Universal Contrast Filter (1.25″) has shown merit in reducing light pollution and increasing contrast on all objects.
It is effective mainly in areas where the local light pollution is due to Sodium (yellowish) light.
It’s also been found to be effective in revealing surface features on the planets Mars, Jupiter and Saturn as well as reducing glare when viewing the Moon.
