CAM10 – Dew Not Heater for Camera Lenses and Small APOs.

The CAM10 – Dew Not Heater is designed for 10 inch (254mm) circumference lenses and smaller APOs i.e. those with a tube diameter of around 80mm, such as most 60mm – 72mm APOs. For larger and smaller optics there’s a wide range of other sizes available in the Dew-Not range.

A small overlap or shortfall in size does not affect performance.

By adding a portable 12 volt battery and supply cable you can keep your optics dew free, home or away.

Dew forms when your optics cool below the Dew Point, by raising the temperature of the lens or corrector by only a small amount, you can stop dew forming in most cases. A lens dew shield or shade is also useful in conditions of high humidity and rapidly falling temperatures.

Features…

UL 94V0 enclosure

Zero to 100% output control per channel.

Two outputs per channel (may be increased using DNS splitter, sold separately)

10 amp capacity

6 foot power cord fused @ 10 amps

Virtually RFI free

Two stage low battery indicator:

If voltage drops to 11 volts the power led begins slow blinking as a low voltage warning.

If the battery voltage drops to 10.5 volts the power led starts fast blinking and the outputs turn off. When the voltage recovers to over 12 volts it will start operating again
The 10.5 volt threshold is to prevent permanent damage to battery packs.

The Dew-Not dew remover is a thick film heater made for operation at 12 volts. Sixty-six percent of the surface area is heat emitting - meaning more even heat distribution and no localised hot spots. Using less power than many other dew heaters it's often possible to dispense with a controller, using only a fused battery cable instead.

Made in the USA the Dew-Not dew remover is a thick film heater made for operation at 12 volts.

Sixty-six percent of the Dew-Not dew remover surface area is heat emitting – meaning more even heat distribution and no localized hot spots.

Covered by over 30 US and international patents, and with more than 20 years of improvements and enhancements, the Dew-Not dew remover is reliable and efficient.

Each Dew-Not dew remover strip comes with a standard six foot cord and phono-plug connector.

A suitable 12 volt DC supply is required (either via mains transformer or battery) and a supply connector cable or controller.

Using 50 – 75% of the power of other dew heaters it’s now possible, in many situations, to dispense with the additional cost of a controller and to use only an inexpensive fused supply cable.
