50mm Distance Ring for Imaging Star 65 mm Quad APO increases the distance of the focuser to the tube by 50 mm when screwed between focuser and tube, improving the stability of the focuser through the optimal position of the draw-tube.

The 65 mm f/6.5 Quad APO offers relatively long back focus, which allows the use of 2″ accessories. If a DSLR or CCD camera is connected, the draw tube has to be moved a fair way back. With heavier cameras, this can adversely affect stability and stiffness. The 50mm Distance Ring for Imaging Star 65 mm Quad APO is a good way of avoiding this. It’s screwed between the focuser and tube and increases the distance by 50 mm. Field correction is fully maintained.
