The SkyWatcher AZ-EQ6GT is an exciting evolutionary development of the hugely successful NEQ6 PRO.

The SkyWatcher AZ-EQ6GT is a dual purpose, fully functional computerised heavy-duty Go-To/Tracking astronomical mount in both Alt-Azimuth (AZ) and Equatorial (EQ) modes.

Supplied with a Synscan handset with dual AZ/EQ firmware, it can automatically find and track over 42,900 celestial objects from its database.

In EQ mode, the AZ-EQ6GT is designed for either visual use or precise astro-imaging. In AZ mode, it is primarily intended for visual use, and in this mode, two telescopes can be mounted simultaneously in parallel.

A great feature of the The SkyWatcher AZ-EQ6GT is the patented dual-encoder technology. This allows the telescope to be moved manually in either axis without the mount losing its positional information. This gives the user enormous freedom, convenience and flexibility during observational sessions.

The Omegon Mount MiniTrack LX Quattro NS is a re-design of the popular LX3 mini-mount for better astrophotography using wide-angle and lightweight telephoto lenses. It will allow you to capture fascinating images of the night sky – even if you haven’t done any astrophotography until now.

The Omegon Mount MiniTrack LX Quattro NS is purely mechanical, without batteries – and now also takes heavy cameras and lenses weighing up to 4 kilograms. But there’s even more to it: the MiniTrack Quattro has been redesigned from scratch and is now better than ever. For successful astrophotography that’s addictive.

The highlights at a glance:

Successfully and effortlessly capturing the night sky

No need to recharge: functions using a mechanical system, independent of battery and power cables

Wind up the mechanism and get going immediately

Perfect for wide shots of the starry sky and telephoto lenses

Fits in every backpack: the perfect mount for travelling – wherever the road takes you.

The special advantages of the MiniTrack LX Quattro:

Even stronger: the new MiniTrack now takes even heavy cameras up to 4 kg

A needle roller bearing ensures smooth running – for better-tracked images

Newly developed spring system: the stronger spring system replaces a counterweight and reliably guides cameras even with heavy one-sided loads

CNC body: the MiniTrack consists of a piece of machined aluminium – high quality, stable, the perfect companion on every trip

Optical polar finder for exact alignment to the celestial pole

Simple conversion for astrophotography in the southern hemisphere

Simple to assemble: built-in Vixen GP-style plate – no additional rail needed

Better astronomy photos when travelling or at home

Now bring home not only holiday snaps but also impressive astronomy photos from your travels. It’s easier than you might think. All you need: a tripod, the MiniTrack, a ball head and your camera. Reduced to the essentials, it has just one mission: good astrophotography that everyone can manage. Here’s how it’s done…

60 minutes of mechanical tracking

The MiniTrack has a mechanical heart – there’s no place for electronics here. The accurate clockwork precisely guides your camera. Wind up the MiniTrack like an analogue clock and the tracking is activated. This mount never fails, even at sub-zero temperatures. Your new mount keeps a cool head, even with telephoto lenses. It is not without reason that this wide-field photography expert has conquered the hearts of amateur astronomers.

The smallest counterweight in the world?

The MiniTrack Quattro has a completely new spring system. It’s not a counterweight, but it works like one. It ensures that the LX Quattro remains as compact and travel-ready as ever. It’s simply got better and stronger. The spring directly drives the axle and guides your camera like a strong and precise arm.

Tip: an ideal tracking speed is reached when the mechanism ticks at 130-135 times per minute. You may need to adjust the spring tension, depending on the weight of your camera. We recommend that you measure the ticks per minute with a TapTempo BPM app for smartphones. These apps are created for the music industry and are supposed to automatically measure the tempo of a song. But you can use such an app to measure the MiniTrack’s speed.

Needle roller bearing: track the stars precisely

The MiniTrack’s integrated needle roller bearing performs the same role as power-steering in a car: It runs as smooth as silk. This is exactly what is needed, because the MiniTrack tracks the stars smoothly and precisely even when carrying heavier loads.

Looks great, inside and out: CNC housing made completely of aluminium

A real eye-catcher: The body of the MiniTrack Quattro now consists of a single piece of aluminium. No corners have been cut here, which makes this model even more stable. Whatever you demand from your MiniTrack, it will accompany you up mountains or on your travels and will succeed in every astronomy adventure with a smile.

High load-bearing capacity of 4 kilogrammes

The MiniTrack has now become fitter and can carry cameras weighing up to 4 kilogrammes. At the same time, our developers have kept the old and proven form. So the MiniTrack Quattro still fits in any bag. Have you always wanted to use a large and particularly fast lens? Until now, unfortunately it was always too big – but now it’s possible.

Find the celestial pole more precisely

Simply use the optical polar finder to find the celestial pole. The MiniTrack comes with a holder and a polar finder, as also seen on large mounts. This makes it even easier to align the MiniTrack for images with point-shaped stars.

Fits on every photographic tripod

The MiniTrack has two connectors: for the tripod and for your camera or a ball head. Attach the mount to your photographic tripod as usual using a 1/4″ thread, and align the MiniTrack as required. On the other side, attach a ball head using a 3/8″ thread.

GP plate for mounting

Simply attach the MiniTrack to a polar wedge. You don’t need a prism rail. A GP Vixen-style plate has been incorporated into the body. Here everything is fully integrated and you no longer need to waste time on screws or spanners.

And if you want to mount the MiniTrack onto a tilt head? There is an integrated 1/4″ and 3/8″ thread for this purpose.

Invented by Cristian Fattinnanzi, further developed by Omegon

The MiniTrack was developed by Christian Fattinnanzi from Italy. Together with the inventor, Omegon has further developed the MiniTrack and realised it technically. It is now a perennial favourite and is used by thousands of astrophotographers all over the world. To ensure consistently high quality, we manufacture the MiniTrack exclusively in Portugal, where it is assembled and tested by our specialists.

With this fully mechanical mini-mount, you can take astronomy photos in no time at all. No power. No charging. No batteries. Just take photographs. Anytime, anywhere.

Get the most beautiful images of the Milky Way with the Mini Track LX3
The Omegon Mount Mini Track LX3 is a compact photography mount that almost guarantees accomplished astropics – with both wide-angle and lightweight telephoto lenses. It is surprisingly simple to get gorgeous views of the cosmos – even if you think you don’t belong to the bunch of gifted astrophotographers.

Moreover, the Omegon Mount Mini Track LX3 does it all without electricity – it’s purely mechanical. The predecessor, the Mini Track LX2, was already top-notch, but certain parts of the Mini Track LX3 have been improved yet again, with a 60% increase in precision. So, look forward to wonderful pictures that will astound everyone. See for yourself and create gorgeous portraits in the blink of an eye.

The advantages in a nutshell

Take pictures of the night sky from anywhere in the northern hemisphere – successfully and effortlessly

Never needs charging – works via clockwork, so is independent of batteries and power sockets

Wind-up by pulling the cord and the mount will start operating immediately

Optimal for overview shots of the starry sky and using telephoto lenses up to about 300mm

The specific advantages of the Mini Track LX3

More load-bearing capacity: the Mini Track LX3 can support higher weights from now on i. e. cameras and equipment of up to 3 kg instead of 2kg with the LX2

A big Teflon bush ensures softer and more fluent motion

Even more customised: its stronger suspension system cushions or accelerates motions

CNC body: the casing is now even better, more beautiful and, above all, more stable

Optical polar finder for an exact adjustment to the celestial pole and impeccably precise tracked star pics

Better astronomy photos
Don’t just bring holiday photos back home from your trip with you, take home stunning astronomy photos too. And it’s a lot easier than you may think. All you need is a tripod, the Mini Track mount, a ball-head and your camera. Reduced to the essentials it still does the job – producing good astronomy photos that anyone can take. And it does exactly that!

60 minutes of mechanical tracking
The Mini Track has a clockwork heart, electronics have no place. A precision movement accurately tracks your camera. Wind-up the Mini Track with its cord, like an analogue clock, and it will start tracking immediately and continue for 60 minutes. This mount will never flag, even in freezing conditions. Your new mount can even take a telephoto lens. It is no coincidence that this ‘expert’ in wide-field photography has won the hearts of amateur astronomers.

Like a counterweight: the advanced suspension system
The Mini Track LX3 does not have a counterweight but features a suspension system instead that works like one. This makes the Mini Track extremely compact and fit for travel. Now, as a new feature, an improved suspension system will support your camera, even under one-sided strain, and will cushion or accelerate the tracking system. This results in increased adaptability and tracking stars will become more accurate.

Tip: Optimum tracking speed is achieved when the clockwork ticks 130-135 times per minute. The spring has to be tensioned in accordance with the weight of your camera. Determining the ticks per minute with a “TapTempo-App BPM“ for smartphones is recommended. These apps are used in the field of music and measure the tempo of a composition automatically. Make use of such an app and measure the speed of the Mini Track.

Big Teflon bush
The entire construction of the Mini Track has been improved. Its bigger Teflon bush ensures an especially smooth camera motion, while tracking.

CNC casing
The new casing of the Mini Track LX3 is more appealing to the eye and even more durable. This mount’s milled aluminium is considerably more resistant. So don’t worry if your mount has to endure adverse conditions. The quality of the Mini Track LX3 holds up – even after several years.

More load capacity – equal portability
Do you need more? The Mini Track will now support camera rigs of up to 3 kg, but the mount remains nearly as small, lightweight and portable as before. The only difference is you can use cameras with bigger or longer objective lenses and of course you can still expect the mount’s superb stability.

Find the celestial pole more easily
Find the celestial pole with precision, using the optical polar finder. The Mini Track LX3 comprises a bracket and a polar finder just as in larger mounts, making polar alignment easier to capture crisp stars and objects.

Fits onto every tripod
The Mini Track has two connectors – one for the tripod and another for your camera or ball-head. Simply attach the mount to your tripod as usual using the 1/4″ screw and align the Mini Track as you like. Alternatively, you can mount a ball head with the 1/4″ or 3/8″ thread.

Invented and developed by Cristian Fattinnanzi
The Mini Track mount was developed by Cristian Fattinnanzi from Italy. Omegon has taken over the distribution to make it accessible to a wider circle of photographers and nature lovers.

Take astronomy photos in no time at all using this fully mechanical mini-mount. No power or charging is required. Just take a picture – anytime, anywhere.

The Mesu-Mount 300 is a scaled up development of the Mesu-Mount 200 with 300mm friction wheels and an advanced version of the driving mechanism used in the Mesu-Mount 200.

Contact Us For Information regarding Availability and Price

The Mesu-Mount 300 is equipped, as standard, with two high resolution absolute Renishaw encoders.

These encoders give 67 million pulses per rotation, an accuracy of 0.02 arc-seconds/pulse in RA and Declination.

With absolute encoders, after a one time first alignment, the position of the telescope is always known after switching on the mount.

With this mount it’s possible to track “diffraction limited” with even a 50cm (20″) telescope.

The resolution of the telescope, and the seeing, will have more effect on the tracking accuracy then the capabilities of the Mesu-Mount 300.

The whole system is controlled by the Servo Controller II made by Sidereal Technology (USA).

The enhanced Mesu e200 (MKII) Mount is a high capacity, innovative and well priced friction drive mount, benefitting from a mature design honed over many years. The mount includes the latest Mesu saddle, but not counterweights. UK delivery (not Highlands or Islands) is included.

Mesu e200 Mount (e for enhanced) aka Mesu Mount 200 MKII

The primary image shows the Mesu e200 Mount adapted to a Berlebach tripod with a wedge for UK latitudes, other images show the “bent pillar” which removes the need for a meridian flip. The pillar is also shown dismantled, for transportation – if need be.

These are the main enhancements over the much admired, and copied, original Mesu 200 Mount which the new version of the mount builds on:

– Cable management through the centre of the head.

– You can lock the axis in any position you like.

– You can decouple the motors for easy balancing.

– Motor encoders now have 16.000.000 ticks/rev. instead of 8.000.000.

– The RA axis can traverse >360 degrees whereas with the old mount it was 225 degrees then a meridian flip was required.

– The drive mechanism has been improved by tweaking dimensions and materials.

– The weight of the mount has decreased by 10kg while stiffness is improved.

– Separation of head and Latitude adjustment mechanism is a Mesu innovation, significant Latitude adjustment is rarely necessary in the UK, so why supply a large, heavy mechanism to allow 90 degrees of adjustment?

The result is a 17kg mount with a load capacity of up to 100kg

This new enhanced version of the original Mesu 200 mount builds on the work put into the original design with features borrowed from the Mesu 300 and some additional tweaks.

The Sky-Watcher EQ8 High Precision EQ mount is pier tripod – based which has now firmly established itself as a fine value for money, mid market, mass produced mount.

It comes with a SynScan hand hand controller, 2x10kg counterweights and a GPS, with a payload of 50kg.

The patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) technology allows the telescope to be moved manually whenever the user wishes – but with no need for re-alignment!

50 kg Payload Capacity

Super Smooth PE Curve

PPEC

Whisper Slew

Small Backlash

Auto-Home Function

DSLR Interface

Permanent Periodic Error Correction

Precise polar-alignment with SynScan hand controller

Adjustable Pier tripod (0.75m – 1.00m)

Freedom Find – tracking made easy!

With the patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) technology which allows the telescope to be moved manually or electronically in either axis without losing its alignment or positional information. After moving to a new object the telescope will automatically begin to track the new object accurately. No re-setup is required in one observing session.

Freedom Find

The EQ8 mount is equipped with auxiliary encoders on both the R.A. axis and Dec. axis. Therefore, the mount can keep tracking its current position even when a user unlocks the clutches and rotates the mount in R.A. axis and Dec. axis by hand. With this feature, a user can manually operate the mount anytime without worrying about losing the mount’s alignment status. When the user wants to operate the mount with the SynScan hand control again, no alignment is required and all that is needed to be done is to re-lock the clutches. This feature can be enabled or disabled on the SynScan hand controller.

Permanent Periodic Error Correction

The EQ8 mount is equipped with an index on its R.A. worm. Thus the motor controller can keep tracking the current position of the worm. After a proper PEC training routine, in which the training data is stored in the motor controller permanently, a user can start the periodic error correction (PEC) at any time to improve the tracking performance for short focal length astrophotography. A training process is not required in the next observing session (assuming that the polar alignment is always accurate), thus this is a Permanent Period Error Correction (PPEC). A user can train the mount with manual guiding or auto-guiding. For detailed instructions please refer to the SynScan hand controller manual.

Batch Exposure Function

The EQ8 mount is equipped with a SNAP port which can control the shutter release of a camera. Working with the SynScan hand control’s “Camera Control” function, a user can take batch exposures when doing astrophotography. Up to 8 groups of “Exposure-time & Frames” combinations can be set on the SynScan hand controller. For detailed information, refer to the SynScan hand controller manual.

Auto-Home Function

The EQ8 mount is equipped with two home position sensors. Working with the SynScan hand controller, the mount can be placed to the same home position after turning on the power. For detailed information, refer to the SynScan hand controller manual.
